Providing insights into the battles
that have shaped human history
Major Hugh M Jones provides an easy-read analysis of land battles through the centuries. Battlefield Review is ideal for the serious student of war, for serving soldiers, and for war-gamers - anybody who would like to see beyond the politically-correct official accounts or history written by people who have never worn a uniform.
The reviews cover colonial conflicts, civil wars, the two world wars and a bunch of other battles which don't fit easily into the other categories. Major Jones is still writing, so new reviews will be added from time to time. These will be notified on our Home Page.
